Terms of service

Effective 27 September 2026. WhoElse is provided by Bitweave Solutions (“we”); these terms are an agreement between you and us. Contact us, including for legal notices, through the support page or Account → Help & how it works → Contact support.

Who can use it and how

You must be 18 or older and use your own phone number, one account per number. Register numbers you have a genuine personal reason to check. Do not harass, stalk, intimidate or build a dossier on anyone, register numbers on behalf of others, use WhoElse for bulk or commercial screening, publish what it shows you, or work around blocks, reveal settings or paid limits.

What a result means

A match means numbers were registered in this service. It is not evidence of a relationship, infidelity, identity or a background check. A lack of matches proves nothing about someone’s life. WhoElse also sends anonymous notifications about registrations, described in the privacy policy; they never say who.

No tolerance for abuse

There is no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users. In names, photos and anything else you share you must not threaten, harass, bully or intimidate anyone or encourage self-harm; send unrequested sexual content or any sexual content involving a minor; demand money or favours or threaten to expose someone; share someone else’s personal information or impersonate anyone; or post hateful, violent or illegal content.

Reports and enforcement

Photos are screened before anyone else sees them. You can block anyone and report registrations in the app, or through the support form. We review reports within 24 hours, remove content that breaks these terms and suspend or remove the accounts responsible. Unspent credits are not refunded when an account is removed for misuse.

Your content

Your name and photo remain yours. You permit us to store them and show them to your matches and connections only to run WhoElse. That permission ends when you delete them or your account, apart from up to 30 days in backups.

Paying

Plans provide 30-day prepaid access without automatic renewal. Separately purchased credits do not expire. Apple and Google display the actual store price before purchase and handle store refund requests under their policies; Mobile Money and card payments are refundable where charged in error or not delivered. Existing paid time is preserved when plans change. Purchases belong to the WhoElse account used at checkout. Deletion does not automatically request a store refund.

Our responsibility

We do not guarantee WhoElse is always available or correct. We are not responsible for what anyone decides to do with what it shows. As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing here limits statutory consumer rights or liability the law does not allow us to limit.

If you downloaded WhoElse from the App Store

These terms are between you and Bitweave Solutions, not Apple, and we, not Apple, are responsible for WhoElse and its content. Your licence is limited to Apple-branded devices you own or control, as the App Store Terms of Service allow. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support. If WhoElse fails to meet an applicable warranty you may notify Apple, which will refund the price paid, if any, and has no other warranty obligation. Apple is not responsible for any claim relating to WhoElse, including product liability, legal or regulatory compliance, consumer protection, privacy or intellectual property claims. You confirm you are not in a US-embargoed country or on a US government list of prohibited or restricted parties. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.

Ending it and changes

You may delete your account at any time. We will ask you to accept material changes to these terms in the app. These terms are governed by Zambian law.
